【ふんわりコラム】7か月続いた英語学習。まだまだ道のりの途中です

Hello, this is Panda House.

Before I knew it, seven months had passed since I started studying English.

My motivation was my desire to ensure that foreign clients could conduct real estate transactions with peace of mind.

My goal is simple:

"To be able to explain important matters in English."

Explaining important matters in real estate transactions is not easy, even in Japanese, as it involves many technical terms.

That's why I continue studying, believing that being able to explain in English will allow me to help even more people.

After seven months, I feel that I'm making progress, albeit slowly.

I've become much more comfortable reading and writing in English than before.

Although I still rely on translation software, I'm less nervous exchanging emails with people overseas than before.

However, listening and speaking are two different worlds.

There are times when I can't understand what the other person is saying, or when I can't immediately express what I want to say.

Even though I understand it in my head, there are many times when my mouth just won't follow.

Nevertheless, strangely enough, learning new things is enjoyable. Even after turning 50, I still feel like a whole new world is opening up to me.

Things I couldn't do before are becoming a little easier.

Those small steps are what make me happy.

Starting next year, I plan to seriously tackle English-language support.

I want to be able to share the charm of Kobe's Kita Ward with people all over the world.

And I want to ensure that foreign customers can consult with me about real estate with peace of mind.

I'm still on my journey, but I'm moving forward one step at a time.

I want to move on to the next step while enjoying the process, in true Panda House style.

こんにちは、ぱんだhouseです。 気がつけば、英語の勉強を始めてから7か月が経ちました。 きっかけは、外国のお客様にも安心して不動産取引をしていただきたいと思ったことです。 目標はシンプル。 「重要事項説明を英語でできるようになること」 不動産の重要事項説明は、日本語でも専門用語が多く、決して簡単なものではありません。 だからこそ、英語で説明できるようになれば、もっと多くの方のお役に立てるのではないかと思い、学習を続けています。 7か月続けて感じるのは、少しずつですが前に進んでいるということです。 英文を読むことや書くことは、以前よりずいぶん慣れてきました。 翻訳ソフトの力を借りながらではありますが、海外の方とのメールのやり取りも以前ほど緊張しなくなりました。 しかし、聞くことと話すことは別世界です。 相手が何を言っているのか聞き取れなかったり、自分が言いたいことがすぐに出てこなかったり。 頭では理解していても、口がついてこないことがたくさんあります。 それでも不思議なことに、新しいことを学ぶのは楽しいものです。 50歳を過ぎても、知らない世界が広がる感覚があります。 できなかったことが少しできるようになる。 その小さな積み重ねが嬉しいのです。 来年からは英語対応にも本格的に挑戦する予定です。 世界中の方に神戸市北区の魅力を伝えられるように。 そして、外国のお客様にも安心して不動産相談をしていただけるように。 まだまだ道のりの途中ですが、一歩ずつ前へ。 ぱんだhouseらしく、楽しみながら次のステップへ進んでいきたいと思います。
